She received one as a gift around 12/2005. Worked reasonably well in New England for several months. Occasionally forget your time and resynchronization. He seemed to eat batteries. After 6 months or so that synchronization is not reliable. After numerous changes and resets the battery gave up and returned it for repair, but gave it back saying it worked well for them. I imagine it might work better if closer to Colorado and the radio signal source, but I missed her in New England. The Nice watch and I was happy with him when he was working.

Very nice watch. It seems he will not eat " " cells as a typical analog clocks. This moves the minute hand 1 / 4 of a minute every 15 seconds compared to regular analog clocks. Is 'locked' at the correct time automatically in about 4 minutes. The book said it was fixed overnight and be ready the next morning. A little more expensive than what I wanted to happen, but probably worth it!

The time of the automatic adjustment feature worked perfectly for me with the clock hanging on a wall in the room about 10 'from the nearest window (to the SSE) in a suburb near Philadelphia, PA. No need to mount the clock near a window, outside the box, I insert a rechargeable AA battery, press 1 4 button corresponding to the four different time zones, and hung the clock on the wall. The next morning, the clock shows the correct time.
As for the quality of the watch just like clockwork: exactly what I expected from a clock of this price. Its construction is cheap plastic and cheap wood. . . However, I chose this watch because of the design of the face and the convenience of the time-the automatic adjustment function. I have no complaints about any aspect of the clock, so does the work. There was some dust inside the glass face of the clock when he first arrived, but the front panel are easily removed, cleaned and replaced.
The clock is about 1. 5 ~ 2 " wall and the second hand is not very strong (a pet peeve about many of my clocks affordable.) The contrast of colors between 2 different wood grains is quite loose in typical indoor lighting conditions.
